組み木絵というのは、木で作られた絵です。厚さ5.5mmに揃えた数十種類の木を使い、一切着色せずに木の色のみで “絵”として組み込んでいく手法で、全て糸鋸でパズルのように作り上げます。木の持っている暖かさややさしさを通じて、自然との関わりや、重要さ、そして人間も自然の一員なのだということを、お手元で少しでも身近に感じて頂けたらと思います。

They were made up to bring out of natural colors and patterns of a wood,
without artificial colorations.
Kumikie is originated by Nakamura.
He is the first and the only Kumikie artist in the world.
